INFN PresidentThe Institute shall be headed by the President, who shall act as its legal representative and shall ensure harmonization for scientific and management policy. The President shall be designated by the Institute’s Board of Directors, under the procedure set in Article 11, and appointed by the Minister of Education, Universities and Research. The President shall be chosen from among full university professors of the physical sciences or from among the Institute’s research managers or from among internationally renowned experts in the physical sciences. The President shall be in office for four years, and whose mandate may be extended for a further four years no more than once. Antonio Zoccoli, Full Professor at the University of Bologna, has been the President of the National Institute for Nuclear Physics since July 1st, 2019.
